Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner

BS: Stevenson University, 2005

NP: University of Maryland, 2009

Nurse Practitioner Danielle Hudson joined Dunkirk Family Practice in 2016 after spending a number of years in outpatient walk-in clinics in Maryland and at the family health clinic at Andrews Air Force Base. She is a southern Maryland native who decided to move back to this area from Baltimore when she and her husband decided to start a family. Now a Calvert resident, NP Hudson is thrilled to have the opportunity to work close to home.

At Dunkirk Family Practice, NP Hudson works with patients of all ages but is enjoying working with children more now that she has her own. “It’s easier to see the nuances of their actions in the office when I can see it every day at home – something I didn’t really appreciate as much before I became a mom.”

NP Hudson agrees with Dunkirk Family Practice’s philosophy of proactive healthcare management. She wants and expects her patients to be an integral and active part of their care plan and encourages them all to undergo age-appropriate screenings. “It’s their life, their health; they ARE the plan. I think we all do a really good job of listening to our patients at Dunkirk Family Practice, so we get to decide together with the patient what the best course of action is to keep our patients healthy. Patient engagement is really important to me.”
